I was out in Southern California last week and stopped by Irvine Lake Tuesday evening for the weekly “Over The Hump” mountain bike race series. I couldn’t believe how many people were there–over 600! Pretty crazy for a weeknight bike race. Got to meet the event creators and organizers, Matt and John, and talk to them about the race’s history. Also was lucky enough to be there at the same time as professional rider Sid Taberlay, and his up-and-coming young cousin Ben Bradley.
